The United Nations' High-Level Panel on the Post-2015 Development Agenda

 

Fayemi was a member of this panel, which was tasked with developing a new global development agenda after the expiration of the Millennium Development Goals in 2015. The panel recommended a set of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that were later adopted by the United Nations. As a member of the United Nations' High-Level Panel on the Post-2015 Development Agenda, Kayode Fayemi was involved in the development of policies aimed at promoting sustainable development after the expiration of the Millennium Development Goals in 2015. The panel recommended the adoption of a set of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that included 17 goals and 169 targets, aimed at eradicating poverty, promoting economic growth, addressing climate change, and promoting social inclusion, among other things. Fayemi's contributions to the panel's work included promoting policies that promote good governance, reduce inequality, and promote access to education and healthcare. His involvement in this initiative helped to shape global policies on sustainable development for years to come.
