As Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi was inaugurated twice. The first inauguration ceremony was on October 16, 2010, at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado-Ekiti, while the second was on October 16, 2018, at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion in Ado-Ekiti. Both events were marked with parades, cultural displays, and speeches by the governor and other dignitaries. In addition to the inauguration ceremonies, JKF also held several events during his time as governor to promote various initiatives and programs. These included events to promote agriculture, education, healthcare, and social welfare programs. He also held town hall meetings and engaged in interactive sessions with various interest groups in the state to solicit feedback and suggestions for his administration's policies and programs.

For instance, in 2019, he attended a meeting of the Nigerian Governors Forum in Abuja, where he was elected as the Chairman of the forum. He also attended a meeting of the National Economic Council in Abuja, where he discussed economic issues affecting the country with other governors and federal officials.

In 2018, he attended the Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference in Abuja, where he spoke on the importance of the rule of law and the need for legal practitioners to be actively involved in politics.

In 2017, he attended the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) Annual Conference in Abuja, where he delivered a keynote address on the role of leadership in promoting good governance and development.
