The Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group

As the chairperson of this group, Fayemi was involved in promoting policies aimed at promoting democracy, good governance, and the rule of law in Commonwealth countries. As the Chairperson of the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group, Kayode Fayemi led the development of policies aimed at promoting good governance, democracy, and human rights among Commonwealth member states. 

The Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Harare Declaration, which outlines the Commonwealth's commitment to promoting these values. During Fayemi's tenure, the group took action against member states that failed to uphold these values, including suspending the Maldives from the Commonwealth in 2016 due to concerns about the government's human rights record. Fayemi's leadership in the group helped to reinforce the Commonwealth's commitment to promoting these important values.

 Through his involvement in these and other international organizations, Fayemi has been able to contribute to the development of policies that promote human rights, democracy, and sustainable development around the world.
