From 1999 to 2006, Kayode Fayemi served as the Director of the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD), a leading research and advocacy organization focused on promoting democracy, human rights, and good governance in Nigeria and West Africa. In this role, Fayemi played a key role in promoting democratic reforms and strengthening civil society across the region. As the Director of the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) from 1999 to 2006, Kayode Fayemi played a critical role in promoting democracy, human rights, and good governance in Nigeria and across West Africa. During his tenure, he led the organization in carrying out research, advocacy, and capacity-building activities aimed at strengthening civil society and promoting democratic governance across the region.
