Chairman, Nigerian Governors Forum

In May 2019, Kayode Fayemi was elected as the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), an umbrella body of the 36 governors in Nigeria. As the Chairman, Fayemi has led efforts to promote cooperation among the governors and ensure the effective implementation of policies and programs at the state level. He has also played a key role in advocating for increased fiscal federalism, better revenue sharing formula, and improved coordination between the federal and state governments in Nigeria. Under Fayemi's leadership, the NGF has taken a more active role in addressing issues affecting the welfare of Nigerians, such as insecurity, unemployment, and poverty. Fayemi's tenure as Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum has been characterized by his commitment to promoting good governance, accountability, and transparency at the state level in Nigeria.
